Consumer health data privacy policy.
This policy supplements our app privacy policy and website privacy policy for residents of Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, and anyone whose consumer health data is collected in those states. If anything here conflicts with the other policies, this policy controls for consumer health data.
1. What consumer health data we collect
The website (emoglow.ai) collects no consumer health data. Browsing this site, downloading the app, or contacting us does not involve health information.
The emoGlow app may collect the following categories of consumer health data, only when you or an adult you have invited enter it:
- Mood and energy check-ins for adults and for children in your family, and the free-text notes you attach to them.
- Conversations with Bloom, which may describe emotional states, stress, sleep, or behavior.
- Milestones, patterns and insights derived from the check-ins above.
- Information you choose to add about a child’s temperament, needs, or well-being.
We do not collect precise geolocation to infer health, and we do not collect biometric data.
2. Why we collect it
Solely to provide the service you asked for: personalized coaching from Bloom, check-in history and patterns in Kids World, stories and activities matched to your child, and safety routing when a conversation suggests someone may be at risk. We do not use consumer health data for advertising, and we never sell it.
3. Sources
You, and adults in your family you have invited (a co-parent, partner, or caregiver), through the app.
4. Sharing
We share consumer health data only with:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf under contract (cloud hosting, AI model providers used through our AI Engine, error monitoring), each bound not to use it for their own purposes.
- Family members you invite, according to the permissions you set for each child.
- Authorities or emergency services where the law requires it, or where we believe in good faith it is necessary to prevent imminent harm.
We do not sell consumer health data and do not share it for targeted advertising. A list of the categories of service providers is in the app privacy policy.
5. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access the consumer health data we hold about you, and learn who we have shared it with.
- Withdraw consent to its collection by deleting the relevant check-ins or conversations, or by deleting your account.
- Delete it: in the app under Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete Account, or by using the deletion request form. We delete it from our systems and instruct service providers to do the same, within the timelines described in the app privacy policy.
- Appeal a decision by emailing privacy@emoglow.ai with “Appeal” in the subject line. We respond within 45 days. Washington residents may also contact the Washington Attorney General.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
