About
A small team. A long horizon.
emoglow.ai is an early-stage company building infrastructure for the everyday work of raising children. The emoGlow app is live on the App Store and Google Play, and we are working with the families using it and a few early collaborators as the product matures.
The work began with a single observation. The thing that determines whether a child gets world-class parenting is not whether their parents care — it is whether their parents have bandwidth. Time. Attention. The mental room left after a day. Affluent families buy bandwidth from a small army: pediatrician, therapist, tutor, nanny, peer network. Most families have none of that.
We believe AI is now capable enough to absorb the load that used to require an army — and to do it grounded in real research, in real family context, day after day. The first public version of that platform is in your pocket today. The next versions will compound.
Founder
Bhumika Mishra, SHRM-SCP
Founder & CEO
Bhumika has spent fifteen years on a single question: what does it take to build adults who can lead, regulate, and contribute under pressure. At Markem-Imaje — a Dover Corporation business — she ran the human side of an SAP transformation and led integration of 7,500 employees across two acquisitions. The work she is most proud of is a multi-year DE&I initiative that lifted women’s representation in R&D from 12% to 22% — concrete evidence that patient, evidence-led human-development work moves outcomes people had assumed were fixed.
She has served as a trusted advisor to CEOs across the San Francisco Bay Area, Singapore, and India, with a record of turning ambitious people strategy into measurable outcomes. Across that career, the consistent pattern was this: the developmental work that decides whether an adult can lead, regulate, and contribute is largely downstream of work that should have happened decades earlier, inside a family.
She holds an M.Phil in HR from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, a Master’s in Psychology for HR from the University of Allahabad, and the SHRM Senior Certified, SHRM AI+HI, Situational Leadership II (Ken Blanchard), and DDI Targeted Selection certifications. She is the published author of Training as a Facilitator to Effective Change Management.
She founded emoglow.ai in 2024 as a research-led company at the intersection of parental psychology and AI — focused on the infrastructure families need today. The thesis is the same one that has guided her career: human development is a function of bandwidth, evidence, and patient contextual support, and the work that decides whether an adult can lead, regulate, and contribute happens almost entirely in the first eighteen years, inside a family.
Working principles
How we work.
-
Research before code.
Every feature begins with what published research says about the underlying behavior. The product is a synthesis of real evidence, not opinion in a wrapper.
-
The corner cases are the product.
Parenting tools fail their users at the edges — the bad day, the unfamiliar diagnosis, the sleepless 2 a.m. Edge-case quality is not a polish item; it is the bar.
-
Trust is a one-way ratchet.
Privacy, safety, and consent ship before features. We hold ourselves to a higher bar than the law requires, because parenting data is the most intimate data a household generates.
-
Named, reachable, in the open.
The product is public and so are we. Investors, advisors, prospective hires, and the parents using the app can find us, read us, and reach us — and we answer.
Team
emoglow.ai is led by Bhumika and built with a small team. The engineer alongside her is senior, has shipped at scale before, and prefers to stay unnamed and heads-down on the work — a preference we respect. We’re hiring quietly for the next few seats: a research lead, a clinical advisor, and one more engineer. If you read this site and recognize yourself in it, write to hello@emoglow.ai.
