Where Bloom's guidance comes from.

Last updated: October 30, 2026

When Bloom, emoGlow’s AI parenting coach, writes the first answer under a question in the Village, it draws on guidance that public health bodies and professional associations publish for parents. Every passage Bloom relies on is shown as a numbered source with the publisher’s name, and each source links to the original page. Bloom’s answer is written in its own words and is not the publisher’s advice; the publishers below have not reviewed or endorsed emoGlow.

We read each page monthly. A page that is removed or rewritten stops being cited. To ask us to stop using your content, or to report a mistake in how it is cited, write to support@emoglow.ai.

Public-domain guidance (U.S. federal government)

Works of the U.S. federal government are in the public domain in the United States. We name the agency and link to its page.

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) — cdc.gov
  • National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) — nimh.nih.gov
  • NICHD (Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development) — nichd.nih.gov
  • MedlinePlus, U.S. National Library of Medicine — medlineplus.gov

Open Government Licence (UK)

  • NHS — nhs.uk

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 (NHS). The licence is published at nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3.

Professional associations

Content from these publishers remains theirs; all rights are reserved by each publisher. Bloom links to the original page and names the publisher on every source it shows.

  • American Academy of Pediatrics, HealthyChildren.org — healthychildren.org
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) — asha.org

Other sources Bloom cites

Bloom also cites research papers (shown as “Study”, linked to PubMed or the publisher), reviewed expert articles from a short list of websites our editors check (shown as “Expert article”), and a reviewed list of warning signs written from the same public health guidance (shown under “When to get help”). See our Terms of Service for what Bloom is and is not.
